A food truck serving chocolate delights and Italian gelato is coming to a new spot in the city.
Bridgetown Bites reported Le Fragole is moving the food cart from 5235 NE Sandy Boulevard. The cart just recently closed temporarily. Owner Jennifer Fabbri told What Now Portland she is hoping to reopen by the end of the month.
“Stay tuned for our sweet comeback just around the corner,” says a recent Instagram post from Le Fragole.
The cart was started by three sisters with Italian and Mexican roots who have a love for pistachios and sweets. Together, they created a spot from a vintage horse trailer that serves strawberries with chocolate, tiramisu and other sweets for the community. Their soft opening was this May.
Le Fragole has been at the Rose City Food Park since its inception. It neighbors businesses like El Guero Mexican Food and Judah’s Delicatessen. The new location will not be a brick-and-mortar, and there is the possibility it is going to another food cart pod.
More information on the new location and hours of operation will be released on their website in the coming weeks.
