A natural wine restaurant is coming to Southeast Portland near Ladd’s Addition, according to a liquor license application filed with Portland.
Going by the name Oscar Food & Wine, the restaurant is set to open on 2425 SE 26th Ave in a small building that also houses a Plaid Pantry. The space formerly housed a sushi restaurant called Kashiwagi, which closed at the end of 2025 as its owners move toward retirement.
Owned by Jaime Martinez, Oscar Food & Wine is set in a relatively intimate space, with just 20 seats inside and four outside. Operating hours will be from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Additional details about the upcoming restaurant and the food it’ll serve are sparse.
According to the restaurant’s website, Oscar Food & Wine is set to open in spring 2026. What Now Portland has reached out to Martinez for more information.
