A new restaurant called Ginza may soon be coming to the Pearl District area.

The business recently put in a liquor license application for 875 NW Everett Street. This used to be the location of Tanner Creek Tavern which is now closed. It was reported by The Oregonian in 2020 that the tavern previously closed due to the Covid pandemic but then reopened.

Other restaurants nearest to Ginza are Le Pigeon French restaurant, Nong’s Khao Man Gai, Kimboshi Ramen and J & M Cafe. The company that applied for this space is SanYue Holdings LLC. The listed agent for the company is Yu Zhang.

There is also a Japanese restaurant named Ginza at 4534 SE McLoughlin Boulevard in the Brooklyn neighborhood. This Ginza is a Japanese cuisine that serves sushi, ramen and hibachi. It is not confirmed whether this is another location for the business.

The deadline for comments on the application is June 28. The hours of operation right now will be 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day, and outdoor operating hours are the same. As of now no menu has been released.
