Spitz Mediterranean Street Food is getting ready to open their newest location in Hillsboro.
The Mediterranean street food restaurant now has a confirmed address for their Hillsboro location at 3611 SE Cornelius Pass Road. It was previously reported by What Now Phoenix that a new Hillsboro restaurant would be opening along with their third Phoenix location in June 2024.
According to franchisee Justin Marcellay who also owns their 2103 N Killingsworth Street location, it is expected to open by July 11, but this is not a concrete date. Marcellay said he wanted to take on the Portland area as it has been growing since the pandemic. The Hillsboro area specifically has seen more commercial development in recent years.
Many of the Spitz locations have their doner wraps, including the street cart doner with garlic aioli, fresh lavish chips, romaine, onion, tomato, cucumber and tzatziki with protein. They also have bowls of fries, salads, vegan options and a kids menu.
“Every sauce is made in-house, our chicken is fresh-cut and marinated, every veggie is freshly cut and prepped daily,” says the description on their website.
Most recently, Spitz has also expanded in the south with a restaurant in Huntsville, Alabama. They have 28 operating locations across the country.
