According to a recent permit filing, Tukes Tap House will soon open at 113 E Main Street in Battle Ground.
A representative of Tukes Tap House did not immediately respond to What Now Portland’s request for commentary.
While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, according to Tuke’s website, they describe themselves as a place for “taps, pizza, and food trucks.”
An article from The Reflector back in July of this year stated that the owners, Lindsey Maze and her husband, Nick, have breathed new life into a historic cottage, transforming it into a taphouse. Lindsey and Nick Maze have backgrounds in real estate and construction, with their love affair with the taphouse and brewpub scene in Central Oregon sparking a vision for their own community-based establishment.
Tukes Tap House is described as aiming to offer a unique combination of craft beverages, including 16 rotating taps of local beer and cider, and a carefully curated wine selection. While hard alcohol won’t be on the menu, the focus here is on quality, not quantity.
In the culinary department, Tukes Tap House will keep it simple with a limited yet tantalizing pizza menu. However, what’s even more exciting is the prospect of two food carts or trucks that will join the lineup. The heart of the taphouse will extend to a spacious lawn area as well. Here, the Maze family envisions a family-friendly environment where community members can gather, enjoy games like cornhole, and savor the outdoors, according to The Reflector’s article.
