A local favorite Mexican spot in Downtown Sacramento, Thirtyfour Mexican Cantina, announced its permanent closure. The restaurant will close October 23 after three and a half years in business, according to a social media announcement.
Thirtyfour Mexican Cantina Says Goodbye
Thirtyfour Mexican Cantina originally began its journey as a local taco pop-up booth. The restaurant opened its brick-and-mortar location at 1100 O St., Suite 5, in Sacramento in 2023.
The restaurant, operated by the Nambo family, is well known for its comforting Mexican street food and vibrant atmosphere. Menu items include the Birria Taco Plate, Quesabirria Tacos and Spicy Birria Ramen.
Through a social media announcement, the restaurant team shared the closure news. “Our last day of general service will be October 23rd,” the owners stated.
In the post, the owners thanked customers and the community for their support over the past three and a half years. “We’ve had the privilege of sharing countless meals, laughter, and special memories with you — memories we will carry with us forever,” they added.
The owners did not provide a reason for the closure.
