The vacant space that once belonged to Rocket Joe at 5636 J Street is getting a new tenant. Milagro Coffee plans to fill the space and open a drive-thru window before Thanksgiving while continually working on renovations.

Jasmin Madrigal, co-founder of Milagro Coffee, told What Now Sacramento over the phone that the building requires some cosmetic and equipment updates before it’s ready for use. Madriga is also upgrading the walkup window to meet ADA compliance, which Madriga anticipates to take a bit longer.

“Our goal is to open to serve those participating in Run to Feed the Hungry, a Thanksgiving run event that is important to the community,” Madrigal said.

As the business gets ready to open, those interested in receiving first-hand updates can follow Milagro Coffee on Instagram or sign up to the mailing list via their website.
