A Peruvian restaurant is making its way to Midtown Sacramento.

Paititi Peruvian Bistro is setting up shop at 2001 J St, according to a recent post on the eatery’s Facebook page. “El fuego se enciende,” it reads. “Muy pronto…” (“The fire starts. Very soon…”)

Owner Jimmy Gonzalez—who also runs Jimmy’s Peruvian & Mexican Restaurant and Lomito Fuzion on Auburn Blvd—briefly confirmed this news with What Now Sacramento, though he did not share details about the menu.

However, in a social media update announcing the news, Gonzalez wrote, “Coming soon 1 to 2 Peruvian restaurant in Sacramento our gastronomy is growing faster than before,” indicating that another location could also be in the works.

Based on Paititi’s name and Gonzalez’s other concepts, diners can likely expect Peruvian staples such as lomo saltado, ceviche, and ají de gallina, alongside possible Mexican favorites like tacos and burritos.

Gonzalez did not reveal when Paititi Peruvian Bistro is slated to open, so stay tuned for updates.
