A new Peruvian restaurant is making its way to Midtown Sacramento.

Paititi Peruvian Bistro is setting up shop at 2001 J St, according to a recent post on the eatery’s Facebook page. “El fuego se enciende,” it reads. “Muy pronto…” (“The fire starts. Very soon…”)

Manager Carlos Olvera told What Now Sacramento that the eatery will feature a wide selection of authentic dishes, including ceviche and lomo saltado, alongside pizzas and chicken wings—each paired with sauces inspired by Peru’s diverse culinary heritage.

“We aim to bring the rich flavors and traditions of Peruvian cuisine to the heart of Midtown,” Olvera said. “This project is born from the passion of a group of Peruvian friends who have come together to pursue a long-time dream of sharing our culture through food.”

The group is currently finalizing permits and hopes to open the restaurant in about a month. They also plan to launch four additional Paititi locations in the next couple of years.

“Our vision is to create a welcoming space where locals, visitors, and travelers alike can enjoy a vibrant culinary experience—whether it’s their first time trying Peruvian food or they’re seeking the comforting flavors of home,” Olvera added.
