Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, the fast-growing chicken chain with sites across the country, is getting ready to open a new location near the Delta Shores Shopping Center at 1922 Cosumnes River Blvd.
The company’s newest location is set to open east of the ARCO ampm on a 2-acre property called Delta Shores South Satellite, first reported by the Sacramento Business Journal. The fast-food chain submitted for a planning entitlement with the city, which is under review. A description states the project would be a ground-up, drive-thru restaurant with the work valued at $2 million, according to Sacramento’s project portal. The new Raising Cane’s is expected to open by the first quarter of 2027, if not sooner.
The new development will span 2,768 square feet and feature a 1,110-square-foot outdoor covered patio and a decorative screening wall by the drive-thru, which will have dual lanes and a bypass lane, accommodating up to 29 cars. The business will operate from 9 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. seven days a week and will employ approximately 50 to 75 full-time and part-time workers. The site is owned by Merlone Geier Partners, who previously developed the larger 414,658-square-foot shopping center across the street. In 2022, they sold this property to the real estate investment firm Pine Tree for $122.5 million.
What Now Sacramento previously reported that the Louisiana-based fast-food chain Raising Cane’s is building a drive-thru at 5901 Florin Road and another at Natomas Fountains. These three new sites will join six existing locations in the area. The company recently opened a restaurant on Arden Way in the former Elephant Bar, which opened in December 2024. Other locations include Davis, Elk Grove, Arden-Arcade, Citrus Heights, and Roseville.
