A new live entertainment venue called Great World Co is currently in the works in Sacramento. Project representative Pete Glikshtern confirmed to What Now Sacramento that the team is aiming to open toward the end of 2026 or possibly in January 2027. The project is planned between 2950 and 3250 Ramona Avenue near Sacramento State.
Glikshtern also confirmed to What Now Sacramento that the venue will include both indoor and outdoor restaurants, which are expected to operate throughout the week, even when no live performances are scheduled. Another major component of the development will be a World Cup regulation-size soccer field intended for league play, school practice facilities, rugby tournaments, and other community sports activities in Sacramento.
The development has been in the works for several years as part of a larger effort to bring a major live entertainment destination to the Sacramento area. Earlier project plans described the concept as a performing arts and event space capable of hosting concerts, comedy shows, conventions, community gatherings, wedding receptions, and a wide range of other events.
“Our wheelhouse is electronic music, but we will certainly make a foray into the live space as well.” Glikshtern said to What Now Sacramento.
He also clarified that the overall development of Great World Co. will be significantly larger than originally expected, totaling closer to 30,000 square feet. Plans submitted to the city show the venue being developed inside two existing warehouse buildings, preserving parts of the property’s industrial character while transforming the area into a large entertainment destination near Sac State.
The venue is expected to host concerts and large-scale gatherings with capacities reaching up to 15,000 attendees regularly. Potentially making it one of the largest indoor live entertainment venues currently operating in the Sacramento area. The project arrives as Sacramento continues seeing steady growth in its nightlife and entertainment scene, with several new hospitality and entertainment concepts currently under development throughout the city.
