A familiar name is making new waves in Sacramento. Kash Hospitality Group, the company behind many beloved concepts, is working on a new restaurant and bar called Citizen Capitol Public House. The new restaurant will take over the vacant Loyal Legion space at 1201 J Street. The news was first seen in the Sacramento Business Journal.

Led by founder and CEO Pat Kashani, Kash Hospitality Group operates a handful of different bars and restaurants in California and Hawaii, including Tropical Grill & Ale House and Big Island Burrito in Camino, and Hoptology Beer Lab in Midtown Sacramento.

Citizen Capitol Public House will be the company’s second restaurant in Sacramento and is currently working on transferring over Loyal Legion’s liquor licenses. The restaurant is left in good condition for the most part, and Kashani only plans on making upgrades to equipment and furniture. The concept will likely open in May once a temporary liquor license is granted. The Business Journal coverage mentioned Kashani is hoping to open by May 3.

Kashani hadn’t replied to an email inquiry sent by What Now Sacramento by the time of this coverage.
