MINISO is opening a new store at Southgate Plaza, located at 4242 Florin Rd in South Sacramento, according to a leasing flyer from the shopping center. The 7,631-square-foot space sits near other Southgate Plaza tenants, including 99 Ranch Market, Foot Locker and Ross Dress for Less, at the busy intersection of Florin Road and Franklin Boulevard.

This will mark MINISO’s third Sacramento-area location, joining existing stores at Arden Fair mall and Westfield Galleria at Roseville, both of which opened in 2021.

Founded in 2013 in Guangzhou, China, MINISO has grown to nearly 7,000 stores worldwide, built around a mix of toys, beauty products, electronics, home goods and snacks. The chain has become especially known for its blind box collectibles featuring characters from brands like Sanrio, One Piece and Disney, drawing a steady following among collectors.

Southgate Plaza draws close to 4.7 million visits a year, according to the leasing flyer, with Florin Road alone carrying more than 41,000 vehicles a day, making it one of the busier retail corridors in south Sacramento.
