Selfish Pilates is opening a new studio at 2330 Sunset Blvd, Suite 140 in Stanford Plaza on Rocklin, with owner Bella Averette confirming to What Now Sacramento that the location is targeting an October opening. The expansion marks the latest step for the boutique fitness brand as it continues growing its footprint across the Sacramento region.
Selfish Pilates built its name around small-group reformer Pilates classes, along with mat Pilates, strength training, private instruction and teacher training, all centered on a philosophy of taking time to invest in yourself. The studio has developed a loyal following across Carmichael, Arden-Arcade, Fair Oaks and Sierra Oaks, and Averette said the Rocklin location reflects growing demand for boutique fitness options throughout Placer County.
Stanford Plaza, managed by Ethan Conrad Properties, has been building out its wellness offerings in recent months, and the shopping center said Selfish Pilates fits naturally alongside its existing mix of health and lifestyle-focused tenants. The property emphasized that fitness and wellness businesses tend to drive consistent daily foot traffic, something that benefits the surrounding retail and dining tenants as well.
The studio’s approach leans on instructor led classes in a welcoming, low pressure environment, aimed at helping members build strength, mobility and confidence rather than pushing a high intensity workout model. That focus has helped Selfish Pilates stand out in a crowded Sacramento fitness market as one of the region’s fastest growing boutique studios.
