The San Antonio restaurant is the brand’s newest Smorange™ Can, adding to Smalls Sliders’ growing presence in Texas. The grand opening celebration included a giveaway of Smalls Sliders swag to the first 100 guests with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The event also included a donation presentation recognizing the San Antonio Food Bank as the brand’s ‘Smalls Town Hero.’ The non-profit provides services to 29 counties in South Texas and distributes millions of pounds of food each week to children, seniors, and families in need.

The new Smalls Sliders location is being operated by the local restaurant chain, Hakim Restaurant Group. The company owns and operates more than 35 IHOP restaurants throughout the San Antonio area. The group plans to expand the brand’s presence in the market, with additional Smalls Sliders locations expected to open before the end of the year.

“Bringing the first Smalls Sliders Can to San Antonio has been an exciting journey, and the response we’ve seen from the community has left us blown away,” said Danny Hakim, local owner of the new Smalls Sliders location.

Since launching in Baton Rouge in 2019, the slider concept has expanded to more than 50 locations nationwide, with hundreds of additional restaurants currently in various stages of development.

In addition to sliders, the menu also features loaded queso, waffle fries, and hand-spun shakes in vanilla, chocolate, and cookies & cream flavors. The restaurant focuses on delivering quality ingredients and quick service, whether guests order through the drive-thru or the walk-up window.
