According to the San Francisco Business Times, local Alamo Cafe franchise owner Kasey Hanlon-Vanacek will soon begin operating her family’s business.
“Congratulations to Kasey Hanlon-Vanacek, SACS Class of 2005, current President of Alamo Cafe on the announcement she will be stepping into the leadership role of her father this summer who started the restaurant nearly 44 years ago,” the SACS- Legacy Families and Alumni- San Antonio Christian School Facebook page posted, captioning the Business Times article on April 17.
The statement continues, “Her siblings Pat (SACS 2000) and Whitney (SACS 2002) also play significant roles in the operations of Alamo Cafe. Congrats to parents, Patrick and Patrice, we know you are proud of your grown children.”
For readers who are unfamiliar with Alamo Cafe, the eatery offers a brief introduction on its website: “Alamo Cafe has proudly served the greater San Antonio area. The original Alamo Cafe was opened in June of 1981 and is located off of San Pedro Avenue. The second location was opened in August of 1985 off of IH-10 and is still operating today. In April of 1996, we moved our San Pedro location to Hwy 281 North.”
What Now San Antonio reached out to Hanlon-Vanacek to inquire about her plans for the spot, but she could not provide additional information before publication.
