Macy confirmed to What Now San Antonio that he is the owner behind the upcoming restaurant. He described Omakase Macy as a Japanese dining experience centered on the traditional concept of omakase, in which diners place their trust in the chef to create and guide a personalized meal.

The term “omakase” reflects the diner’s willingness to relinquish control over the meal and allow the chef to determine the culinary experience.

An opening date and additional details about the restaurant’s menu, design and hours have not yet been announced.
