MINISO is preparing to open a new location at La Palmera in Corpus Christi, with plans for a 3,000-square-foot store at 5488 South Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78411, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing.

The project, listed as MINISO La Palmera under project number TABS2027000674, calls for interior tenant improvements to the space. The scope of work includes painting, new base installation and new millwork.

Construction began August 2, 2026, and is scheduled to be completed October 26, 2026. The project has an estimated cost of $100,000 and is privately funded by the tenant. The project is currently listed as registered.

Founded in 2013, MINISO is a global lifestyle retailer offering a wide range of products, including household items, beauty products, toys, stationery, accessories, snacks and character merchandise. The company is known for its collaborations with popular brands and entertainment properties, as well as its selection of blind boxes, plush toys and collectibles.

The upcoming Corpus Christi location will bring MINISO’s retail concept to La Palmera, offering shoppers access to the brand’s merchandise and rotating selection of lifestyle products.

According to the TDLR filing, Institutional Mall Investors (IMI) is listed as the property owner, while Menemsha Development Group Inc. is listed as the design firm. Bonita L. Anderson is listed as the registered accessibility specialist.

The store is expected to open following completion of the planned renovations, although an official opening date has not been announced.
