3CAT Handcrafted Beverage, a bubble tea shop specializing in handcrafted beverages, is working on a new location in San Diego at 16449 Bernardo Center Dr.

The company recently submitted documents to the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality to open in the former home of Daboba in Bernardo Center. An exact opening date has not been announced. The Rancho Bernardo location will be the company’s second in San Diego, following its existing shop at 4917 Convoy St.

3CAT describes itself as a tea shop focused on quality ingredients and handcrafted preparation. The company uses organic milk from Straus and fresh fruits sourced from local farmers. Its offerings include seasonal drinks such as Rice Frost.

The company makes its toppings daily in its kitchen, including handmade mochis and its signature mousse. 3CAT says it prepares its ingredients from scratch rather than relying on shortcuts. The company describes its approach as focused on creating handcrafted beverages with quality ingredients.

3CAT currently operates locations in California, including City of Industry, San Gabriel, Chino Hills, Los Angeles, Arcadia, Tustin, San Diego, and Milpitas. The company’s San Diego location on Convoy Street is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Its other locations offer similar handcrafted beverage options.

The Rancho Bernardo shop will expand 3CAT’s presence in San Diego. The company has not yet provided business hours or additional opening details for the new location.
