Family-owned restaurant Bacari is opening in North Park on Monday, February 9, 2026. Located in the heart of the vibrant foodie neighborhood, it brings Mediterranean small plates and house-made cocktails. The restaurant will serve dinner daily with brunch on weekends.

Spread over two floors, the restaurant and bar invite the community to experience their hospitality.

Inspired by ancient Venetian wine bars, the concept was founded in Los Angeles in 2008 by brothers Robert and Danny Kronfli. With them, Executive Chef and Co-Owner Lior Hillel brought his expertise to the experience. Now, Bacari is known for its guest-centric approach and its authenticity.

Each Bacari location reflects the neighborhood in which it operates. It makes every location unique to guests and fans of the concept. At the North Park location, the restaurant brings its exquisite menu with a design that complements the local culture.

Culinary Experience Rooted in Tradition

Lior Hillel leads Bacari’s culinary program and draws influences from his time in the kitchen of Jean-Georges Vongerichten and his native Israel. The menu here incorporates the flavors of Middle Eastern and European cuisine in the Mediterranean-inspired small plates. The cuisine emphasizes fresh, seasonal produce with bold spices and bright, herbaceous elements.

Signature dinner dishes at Bacari include fried chicken sliders, shawarma tacos, Brussels sprouts, and Moroccan cigars. For the weekend brunch, the menu includes Shakshouka, Chef’s French Toast, and Lamb Hummus. Alongside this, two full bars will serve a selection of wines, beers, craft cocktails, and zero-proof beverages.

Bacari signatures include house-made sangrias and a rotating list of international wines. A selection of creative cocktails like the Bacarita and Permanent Vacation is also available at Bacari. The restaurant opens Monday through Friday at 5 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday at 4 p.m. Weekend brunch is served from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Bacari’s dining experience is highlighted by the restaurant’s rich, layered, Old World European-inspired design. For North Park, co-founder Robert Kronfi designed every element of the restaurant. He incorporates patinated antiques to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The space is layered with antique and vintage rugs, lighting, furnishings, and objects that are steeped in history. The interiors are rounded out by the custom-fabricated furnishings, richly patterned upholstery, colorful Mexican wall tile, and rustic stonework. On the outside, a lush, plant-filled covered patio serves as the restaurant’s entrance and provides additional seating.

Bacari North Park’s opening adds a new dimension to the area’s dining scene with its menu and commitment to neighborhood-driven hospitality. As it blends Old World charm with a lively atmosphere, the restaurant is expected to become a go-to destination for diners.
