Rowan is preparing to open a studio at The Forum Carlsbad, according to the shopping center’s online directory, which lists the business as “Coming Soon.” The studio is listed at 1923 Calle Barcelona, Suite 146.
Rowan offers ear piercing and hypoallergenic jewelry, with more than 100 studios across the United States. Its jewelry is designed or curated in-house, with an emphasis on hypoallergenic materials, comfort and long-term wear.
The company is mom-founded and women-led, with a focus on safety, medical expertise and thoughtful care. All piercings are performed by licensed nurses and follow its Rowan Clinical Piercing Standard, a proprietary protocol developed to guide the piercing process, according to the company’s website.
What Now San Diego reached out to Rowan representatives to inquire about the opening timeline. The Forum Carlsbad directory does not provide an opening date, and store hours are also listed as “Coming Soon.”
Meanwhile, Rowan’s official website currently lists only its Fashion Valley studio as a San Diego location. If the Carlsbad project moves forward, it would become the brand’s second listed location in the San Diego area.
What Now San Diego has previously covered Rowan’s regional expansion, including its plans to open a studio at Fashion Valley, located at 7007 Friars Road in San Diego.
That location was part of a broader California growth strategy that included planned studios in Torrance and Long Beach, as well as additional markets in San Diego and Northern California, according to founder and CEO Louisa Schneider in comments to What Now Los Angeles.
