The Picklr, a North America-based indoor pickleball brand, is getting ready to open a new location in Carlsbad at 5830 El Camino Real.

The company’s new 36,300-square-foot club is scheduled to open in late August 2026, according to The Vista Press. Neil Capin and Chris Foote will locally own the Carlsbad location and will move into a newly renovated free-span building. The facility will include 10 indoor courts, a pro shop, private event space, and instructional programming for players of all ages and skill levels. Customers can expect unlimited open play, league play, tournaments, and access to nationwide Picklr locations through membership.

The Carlsbad club is part of The Picklr’s broader national expansion, which includes plans for more than 500 new locations across the United States. The brand, founded in 2021, has grown rapidly by focusing on indoor pickleball facilities designed for year-round play. The company also emphasizes membership-based access, allowing players to use any Picklr location nationwide.

The Picklr was founded with a focus on expanding access to indoor pickleball and building structured programming for both recreational and competitive players. The brand has developed amenities, including league play, tournaments, and instructional clinics, through its Picklr Academy program. Membership also includes court reservations and access to organized events throughout the year.

The Carlsbad club will feature proprietary outdoor surfacing from Just Courts, along with locker rooms and showers designed to support higher-volume play. The facility will also include private event areas for group gatherings and competitive play. These additions are intended to support both casual players and more competitive players seeking structured programming.

The Picklr Carlsbad is part of the company’s continued rollout of large-format indoor pickleball clubs across the country, reflecting the ongoing growth of the sport and demand for dedicated indoor facilities in Southern California.
