Restaurateur Kamel Bouzidi is bringing a “French-style” crepe restaurant to 607 Divisadero — taking the place of Mediterranean eatery Zaytoon. According to Hoodline, the new eatery will be named La Sarrasine and offer kebabs and other Mediterranean dishes in addition to serving buckwheat crepes.

The menu hasn’t been finalized yet, but Bouzidi’s previous concept, Cafe Med, was known for its kebabs, lamb burgers topped with feta cheese, and shawarma. Bouzidi also owns Dar Fatma, a “weekday cafe featuring a salad and pasta buffet, plus made-to-order burgers and sandwiches.”

La Sarrasine will land alongside establishments such as Beretta, Nopa, and 4505 Burgers & BBQ and will be within walking distance from Alamo Square. An opening date hasn’t been announced.
