The founders of ROOH, a “sophisticated bistro serving playful cocktails and modern Indian fare with California accents,” are introducing a new waterfront restaurant at The Embarcadero.

Coming to Pier 3, the team’s newest concept, Alora, is described as a “refined yet convivial waterfront restaurant that transports diners from the California coast to the shores of the Mediterranean,” according to a recent press release.

“Our investment in the vibrant culinary landscape of San Francisco is a testament to the unwavering potential and bright prospects that the Bay Area holds. In the face of challenging times, we believe in the resilience and spirit of this community and we’re proud to be a part of its future,” shares Vikram Bhambri, Co-Founder.

Locals can look forward to “a menu filled with small dishes meant for sharing — from mezze to handmade pasta, an array of sustainable seafood and dry-aged meats, and skewers cooked over a charcoal grill,” as well as “a curated beverage program featuring an extensive wine list and Mediterranean-inspired cocktails.”

As far as ambiance is concerned, envision a “dreamy coastal dining experience.”

Alora is slated to open in winter 2023.
