According to a recently submitted permit application, a new restaurant listed as O2 Eatery is coming to Berkeley.

Taking over the former Elsie’s spot at 1746 Solano Avenue, the concept will land near establishments such as Lavender Bakery & Cafe, Sichuan Style, and Zachary’s Chicago Pizza.

What Now San Francisco reached out to O2 Eatery’s owner, Angel Munkhbat, to inquire about the upcoming dining destination, but he could not provide additional information before the time of publication.

While it’s unclear if the businesses are related, an eatery named O2 Sushi Restaurant exists in Simi Valley and offers “made-to-order sushi & traditional Japanese cooked fare in a casual, contemporary setting.”

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
