Almadura is a new restaurant cropping up in the former Fomo Eats Catering space at 1022 Bush St. in Nob Hill. The concept is brought to us by Veronica and Carlos Santos, who confirm that if all goes according to plan, they hope to open by January 2022

The Santoses have been operating Charlie’s Food Trailer since 2018, serving breweries and other events throughout East Bay. The resulting success has encouraged them to move forward with establishing a brick-and-mortar restaurant, and earlier this fall they signed a lease on the spot in Nob Hill.

While the menu is still being planned, they do intend to serve fare that is similar to Charlie’s. Some of the dishes they are planning include Gambas en Ajillo, a Spanish-style garlic shrimp, and Lamb Chops with Chimichurri. There will also be a range of classics from tacos to burgers, and ribeye and chicken sandwiches.

Almadura will also feature a beer list sourced from breweries that Charlie’s currently serves, including Calicraft Brewery in Walnut Creek, Epidemic Ales in Concord, FiveSuns Brewery in Martinez, Four Legs Brewery in Brentwood, and Sidegate Brewery in Concord. Their website is still being developed but we’re sure more is to come when we near the official opening date.
