According to a recent business license application, Tha Siam Thai Bistro in Berkeley now has a new owner.

At 1892 Solano Avenue, an address that previously belonged to the Thai restaurant Bangkok Jam, Tha Siam neighbors establishments such as Ajanta, Cactus Taqueria, and Jerusalem Organic Kitchen.

What Now San Francisco contacted Tha Siam’s new owner, Kim Sawatdee, but she could not provide further information before publication. Nevertheless, the former owners confirmed the change of hands.

In the case that Tha Siam’s Berkeley restaurant menu remains the same, offerings will continue to include a selection of Thai curries, stir-fried dishes, marinated and grilled meat plates, and noodle-based options — think pad thai, pad see ewe, and pad kee mow.

How and whether the transition will affect business hours has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
