A Chicago-based boutique known for its curated fashion for girls, tweens and teens is making its Bay Area debut. Frankie’s on the Park is expected to open during the first week of August at 1843 Union Street, with a grand opening celebration planned for August 14 through August 16, featuring special activations and in-store events.

For owner Thalia Bliss, mother of three girls, the venture is both a business opportunity and a personal passion project.

“This is my first time in retail,” Bliss told WhatNow. “I’m a San Francisco resident and the mother of three teenage girls, and I’ve been shopping Frankie’s on the Park online for years.”

The idea took shape after the Chicago-based founders invited supporters to express interest in licensing the concept to new markets.

“They put out a note about two years ago asking if anyone felt their market could use a Frankie’s on the Park brick and mortar,” Bliss said. “I really felt like San Francisco could use a high-end retail boutique for girls, teens and tweens.”

The location also holds strategic appeal. Situated along Union Street, the boutique is within walking distance of two all-girls schools, positioning it to become a neighborhood destination for students and families.

Beyond fashion, the store embraces a mission centered on confidence and self-expression for young shoppers.

“We’re a shopping experience that celebrates girls as they grow,” Bliss said. “We’re delivering a best-in-class assortment of girls’ and juniors’ clothing while helping teen girls celebrate their bodies as they are.”

With construction nearing completion, Bliss is looking forward to welcoming customers through the doors in early August and introducing the boutique’s personalized shopping experience to San Francisco.
