Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream is bringing its 13th scoop shop to Northgate Station, with plans to open in spring 2027 at the base of Everis, a new apartment building at 10500 Fourth Ave. NE, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal.
Founder and CEO Molly Moon Neitzel told What Now Seattle the company chose Northgate because of its mix of transit, entertainment, restaurants, and public gathering spaces.
“We’re excited because it’s such a nexus of so many different things happening at Northgate Station,” Neitzel said.
“There are so many different transportation options, the light rail, the bus transit station, the movie theater, the ice skating rink, a bunch of new restaurants, shopping, and a huge new green space. We’re really excited to bring another shop to North Seattle to a place where people can gather.”
Neitzel said the company is working on a menu expansion, though she is not ready to share details yet. The new location will also feature significantly more indoor seating than some existing shops, allowing it to become a year-round destination.
“We’ll have a lot of indoor seating because we really hope that this shop is something that is used a lot year-round,” she said.
The opening continues Molly Moon’s steady expansion across the Puget Sound region. The company opened its first Kirkland location this year and now operates shops throughout Seattle, Bellevue, Edmonds, Redmond, and Kirkland.
Neitzel said the company prefers to expand at a measured pace.
“At Molly Moon’s, we really like the ‘slow and steady wins the race’ approach and grow by about one shop a year,” she said.
With Northgate now on track, Neitzel told What Now Seattle she has already turned her attention to the company’s next location and plans to open another Molly Moon’s shop in 2028.
