After a year of working on their wine bar The Cove has a more firm opening date of this June.
The wine bar will be at 901 Fairview Avenue N, Suite 100 in the South Lake Union neighborhood. This is just north of downtown Seattle directly on Lake Union and close to the Museum of History & Industry. While the business was originally looking at opening earlier this year, they are now aiming at opening in June.
“The Cove is South Lake Union’s new go-to wine bar and bottle shop tucked away in Chandler’s Cove,” says the description on their website.
Ackley Brands, which owns The Cove, also opened The Grove Tasting Room at 216 NE 3rd Street in McMinnville, as well as the Montinore Tasting Room in Woodinville. The company bought Montinore Estate in 2016 and has purchased other legacy brands including Hogue, Columbia, and Mac & Jack’s since then.
While the assortment of wines offered has not been released yet, guests can expect some of the wines and beers launched from the Ackley Brands portfolio. Their brands are Charles Smith Wines, Betz Family Winery and Columbia Winery. Small plates will be available for pairing with the wines, available to drink there or purchase to go.
