Toys “R” Us plans to open stores at The Outlet Collection Seattle in Auburn and South Hill Mall in Puyallup in October, according to MyNorthwest. Exact opening dates have not been announced.

The South Hill Mall store will operate under a lease lasting at least one year. The agreement includes an option that could allow the retailer to remain beyond its initial term.

Both stores are part of Toys “R” Us’ holiday expansion with Go! Retail Group. The Washington locations are expected to remain open through the holiday season, with the possibility of continuing into 2027.

Toys “R” Us already operates in the Puget Sound region through different store formats. Its directory lists a shop inside Macy’s at Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood and a location at the Bangor Main Navy Exchange in Silverdale, which is limited to authorized military personnel.

The company sells dolls, building sets, games, electronics, remote-controlled vehicles, outdoor toys, arts and crafts, and STEM products for children and teenagers.

Toys “R” Us filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2017 and closed its remaining U.S. stores the following year. The brand has since returned through standalone stores, seasonal locations, Macy’s shop-in-shops, airports, and Navy Exchange stores.
