As Plant City awaits the opening of a new Leaven Brewing, a new restaurant is preparing for launch alongside it. Called Dingers Roadside Cafe, it’s “Warming Up in Downtown Plant City,” where recently submitted plan review paperwork shows an opening planned for 202 E Reynolds St.
Coverage published by the Plant City Observer this spring called this opening combo “A Home Run for Downtown.”
“While Leaven takes charge of the beverage program, Dingers will handle the food side of the operation, bringing a playful, baseball-inspired theme to the table,” the coverage said. “The concept is rooted in accessibility and family appeal. Something [owner Brandon Snyder] believes is currently underrepresented in the area.”
Brandon Snyder, the culinary force behind Dingers, describes a lack of family-friendly choices in town. The key word is “approachable”: expect to find “sandwiches, salads, and hot dogs, along with frozen sweet treats that add a nostalgic, ballpark-style finish to the experience.”
The Leaven-and-Dingers combination promises to make this a hangout hub in Downtown Plant City. It’s the second location for Leaven Brewing, whose other brewery at 11238 Boyette Rd. in Riverview has earned the distinction of being Riverview’s first brewery.
Both concepts will take over the space formerly occupied by Linda’s Crab Shack.
