Located on the northeast corner of Cypress Village Boulevard and Sun City Center Boulevard, Cypress Village Plaza is a retail center anchored by the Home Depot and home to restaurants like Old Castle Restaurant, The Hungry Greek, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and more.

Now, the shopping mall looks to be getting a Five Guys. This week, What Now examined plan review documents submitted by Ruskin FG LLC that show a new Five Guys opening at 3728 Sun City Center Blvd, Suite 101.

Featuring burgers and other handhelds, milkshakes, hot dogs, and fries, Five Guys has been a kind of instant classic in the burger space ever since it launched about 30 years ago—and it has already expanded considerably and continues to grow at an impressive pace.

“30 years after Five Guys first opened, there are almost 1,700 locations worldwide and another 1,500 units in development,” the brand’s website says. “Five Guys continues to receive generous media attention and has grown a cult-like following around the world.”

Five Guys’ burgers come in varieties like the classic Hamburger (Fresh, hand-formed patties hot off the grill and placed on a soft, toasted sesame seed bun. Add as many toppings as you want) and the Bacon Cheeseburger (Fresh patties hot off the grill with American-style cheese and crispy Applewood smoked bacon. Placed on a soft, toasted sesame seed bun. Add as many toppings as you want). Hand-spun shake flavors include Blackbeery, Coffee, Peanut Butter, and Reese’s Cups.
