With locations in Davie, Palm Harbor, and Ponte Vedra Beach, Fresh Monkee is bringing its “Truly Healthy Shakes” all over the Sunshine State, with a total of 13 locations either open or in progress across Florida, according to the Fresh Monkee website.

“We’re on a bold mission to go national, and our courage stems from the loyal, committed fanbase we’ve amassed with our simple, straightforward product,” the site says. “Join us as we hit every corner of the nation with our Truly Healthy Protein Shakes.”

Now, Fresh Monkee is preparing for its debut in Lakeland, where a new location is set to open at 5257 US Hwy 98 S. Opening there, it will join Highland City Town Center, a retail center anchored by Publix and home to restaurants like Gator’s Dockside, Bamboo Wok, and Hiabchi Express.

Founded by Judy Flynn, Fresh Monkee offers shakes that are flavorful, healthy, and energizing: “Naturally flavored protein shakes, ample fiber and minimal added sugar, consciously blended to balance flavor, taste, and healthy.”

“My quest to find a truly healthy protein shake began in 2014,” says a statement from the founder posted on the site. “Back then, too many places relied on mystery powders and sugary flavor shots, calling them ‘healthy.’ I knew we could do better. So I brought my kitchen — packed with real, all-natural ingredients — to the public and launched Fresh Monkee, with one mission: to create healthy protein shakes made with full transparency.”

Currently featured shakes from the Fresh Monkee menu included Magic Melon (unsweetened coconut milk, vanilla protein, watermelon, pineapple) and Watermelon Strawberry Limeade (fresh watermelon, strawberries, lime—available at select locations).
