The Quay, the master-planned 14-acre waterfront development in Sarasota north of the Ritz-Carlton, is becoming a “transformative new focal point and gathering place for Downtown Sarasota.”
As the development’s residential, retail, and restaurant space develops, one thing has seemed to be missing: a coffee shop.
And now, franchisee Adrian Lojo is preparing to change that, bringing a new outpost of growing cafe chain Foxtail Coffee Co. to the Quay.
“The Quay is this brand-new, really exciting development. It’s a beautiful area. And I keep hearing from people in the community that what it really needs is a coffee shop.”
Opening at 468 Quay Commons, Suite G, the new Foxtail Coffee will serve the franchise’s wide variety of coffee drinks, ranging from espresso-based classics to the highly popular cold brew.
Lojo got to know Foxtail Coffee as a customer at the brand’s very first franchise-owned location in Clermont.
“At the time, I didn’t even know it was a franchise. I loved having it as my go-to.”
Since then, Lojo has opened two Foxtail locations: one in Carrollwood and another near USF. This will be his third Foxtail opening.
“We are almost there, waiting to get our certificate of occupancy next week,” Lojo said, predicting a mid-June opening. “We’re really excited to give people what they’ve been waiting for.”
