What Now reported at the end of May on the launch of Sarasota’s first Fresh Monkee. The soft opening was on June 1, and you can now visit Fresh Monkee at 5045 Fruitville Road.

As it turns out, though, that’s not all that the “Truly Healthy Shakes” franchise has in store for Sarasota. According to submitted plan review documents, a new Fresh Monkee will also open a store at 6597 S Tamiami Trail, in the Sarasota Pavilion shopping center.

There, you’ll be able to try Fresh Monkee’s wide variety of healthy shakes. The shakes are divided by category: there are Fresh & Fruity Shakes like Antioxidant Berry (water, splash of pom juice, splash of orange juice, splash of milk, vanilla protein, spinach, mixed berries); Craveworthy shakes like the Dirty Monkee (milk, chocolate protein, brownie protein bar, Nutella with sugar-free chocolate drizzle); Go Nuts varieties like Reyes’s personal favorite, Chunkee Monkee (milk chocolate or vanilla protein, banana, natural peanut butter with sugar-free chocolate drizzle when ordered with chocolate protein); and more.

“We’re here to revolutionize the way people perceive and enjoy healthy shakes, by offering a genuine, unpretentious food that is delicious, fun, and caters to every taste and lifestyle,” says the Fresh Monkee website. “Utilizing the inherent flavors of high- quality, natural ingredients, including fresh fruits and veggies, we craft incredibly delicious blends that make you keep coming back for more.”

Opening at Sarasota Pavilion, Fresh Monkee joins big-name retailers like Nordstrom Rack, Michaels, SKECHERS, and more—along with fast-casual concepts like Five Guys and Panera Bread.
