In fortunate news indeed for Forest Hill diners, progress is being made on one of the more innovative and exciting concepts to enter the area dining scene. Lucky AF: Asian Fusion & Sushi has taken to social media to let future regulars know that construction is underway on the location and delicious and imaginative dishes are on the horizon.

Lucky AF, which comes from the prolific and popular EAT Restaurant Partners hospitality group, is opening in the Evelyn apartment building located at 4701 Forest Hill Avenue, C1. An opening date has not yet been established for the Asian restaurant’s Forest Hill storefront, however the concept’s post is certain to inspire hunger and enthusiasm in future regulars, saying: “Construction is well underway. The lights are going up. And before long, we’ll be rolling.”

The announcement goes further, for those craving additional details: “Lucky AF is taking shape inside The Evelyn, and the details are starting to come to life, like Lucky Cats watching over the sushi bar, our locally designed Dragon + Phoenix neon, Buddha behind the bar, and plenty more still to come.”

Lucky AF is not a stranger to Virginia, with 2 locations currently open and operational-one in Short Pump and another in Scott’s Addition. The restaurant’s Facebook page offers a concise summary of what it has to offer, for those unfamiliar with Lucky AF’s cuisine: “Lucky AF brings a bold, modern take on Asian fusion dining to the Southside. Featuring handcrafted sushi, creative specialty rolls, fresh poke bowls, vibrant cocktails, and more.”

For its part, the Luck AF team assures Forest Hill that it is as excited to serve them as they are to sample its fare, saying: “We can’t wait to bring Chef Hai’s sushi and Asian fusion to this growing, vibrant Richmond neighborhood.”
