Good things are worth waiting for, and any restaurant from Pattana Restaurant Group has consistently fallen into that category. So while Crystal City foodies eager to stop into the hospitality group’s upcoming Tiki Thai location will undoubtedly be disappointed to hear the opening has been pushed back, the 2027 wait reported by ARLNow is sure to be worthwhile.

The critically lauded Tiki Thai will be opening at 244 19th Court S, on the ground floor of the Reva apartment building. The Pattana team originally planned to have the restaurant open and ready for customers by autumn, however hold ups in the permitting process have necessitated delaying the opening.

Tiki Thai, which fuses fine Thai dining with a tiki aesthetic, is now poised to start cooking up delicious and genuine cuisine in summer of 2027.

Authentic Thai dining and tiki may not immediately seem like complementary notions, however owner Porntipa Pattanamekar assures curious customers that the two work well together, saying: “The tiki theme will enhance, not overshadow, the beauty and richness of Thai culture.”

The Arlington storefront will be Tiki Thai’s second location, joining another that’s already open in Reston.
