A popular New York-based chain has stepped in to ensure that a Gaithersburg storefront gets the bakery it deserves. Maman will be taking over the Kentlands space that Tatte Bakery was originally slated to occupy, reports MoCo Show.

Maman will be bringing its delicious fare to 112 Kentlands Boulevard, in a building that previously housed a Buca di Beppo. The concept will not be the sole occupant; Maman will be sharing the space with Mattress Warehouse, which will take up approximately half of the building, leaving the remainder for the bakery.

Construction is currently underway, giving locals reason to be optimistic that Maman will be ready to welcome customers in the not too distant future.

Founded in New York City in 2014, Maman has established itself as a powerful contender in the bakery scene. The menu features a variety of cafe classics, including salads, soups, and sandwiches, alongside plenty of pastries and sweets.
