Union Station has welcomed its fair share of New Yorkers, but an upcoming arrival from the City that Never Sleeps is certain to cause excitement among hungry travelers. Springbone Kitchen, a concept that focuses on offering “simple, yet nourishing food that tastes and feels just like it was made in your kitchen”, has signed on to open a new outpost in Union Station, with plans to open in the not too distant future.
Springbone’s upcoming 50 Massachusetts Avenue NE storefront was announced via a press release shared by the Union Station Redevelopment Corporation. The concept is one of five recently signed dining newcomers, joining Andy’s Pizza, Capo Deli, Joe & the Juice, and Housebar as upcoming tenants for the transportation hub.
An opening timeline is not presently available; the press release states only that the eatery will be opening in “the coming months”. While speaking in terms of “months” instead of “years” is certainly a positive sign for excited parties, it does not provide a terribly definitive date. However, John Gogos, a Partner at Papadopoulos Properties, expresses enthusiasm about what Springbone Kitchen and its fellow incoming concepts will bring to Union Station, saying: “These new offerings will have a significant impact in elevating the overall experience of those passing through the station.”
Springbone Kitchen is sure to give Union Station travelers the energy, nutrition, and support they need for a successful journey. It’s cuisine is made with “No seed oils. No refined sugar. No gluten. Just whole, real food prepared with care.” The menu is full of a wide range of delicious and sustaining options sure to delight carnivores and vegetarians alike.
