A prominent chain is preparing to flex its muscles and elevate the sporting life in the DMV. Dick’s House of Sport is bringing retail and recreation to a sprawling Tysons Corner Center storefront, set to open next year.
The distinctive concept will be making its Northern Virginia debut at 7951 Tysons One Place in the spacious 196,403-square-foot space that previously housed Lord & Taylor.
Future Dick’s House of Sport customers can look forward to a shopping experience that goes far beyond simply selecting a good pair of running sneakers or a new tennis racket. The store is interactive; visitors can work up a sweat by climbing a rock wall or taking a swing at a golf simulator. Many House of Sport locations also feature a multi-sport practice cage.
While the Tysons Corner Center storefront will be Dick’s House of Sport’s first NoVa location, the concept is not a stranger to Virginia at large. This will be the chain’s third home within the state, joining stores in Charlottesville and Chesapeake.
Tysons shoppers still have a decent wait ahead of them before they can check out Dick’s House of Sport. The store is projected to be customer-ready by autumn of 2027.
