Chesterfield is on track to welcome a grocery heavy hitter. Whole Foods Market is headed to the area, with plans in motion for it to anchor the Midlothian Depot project.

The incredibly popular chain will be occupying a 36,000 square foot storefront in the upcoming mixed-use development. The Whole Foods buildout is underway, and while an opening date is not presently available, it is predicted that it will be open and ready for customers by autumn at the earliest.

Whole Foods Market will be one of several businesses featured in the 87,500 square foot development, joined by J.Crew, furniture store Lovesac, veterinary clinic Petfolk, med spa VIO, Gloss Nails and restaurants Dave’s Hot Chicken, Paris Baguette, and Blue Fish Grill.

Whole Foods has become arguably the most formidable grocery presence on the scene since its debut in 1980. The company puts a heavy emphasis on natural and organic foods and now has more than 500 locations open in 3 countries.
