In addition to our normal news coverage, What Now Atlanta (WNA) is tracking ways Atlanta’s businesses are adapting to the novel coronavirus and the challenges it brings to brick-and-mortars.
Forza Storico has reopened after voluntarily closing last week when one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.
“We look forward to opening our doors and our patio this evening to offer our guests the exceptional cocktails, traditional Roman fare, and dining experience that our guests have come to know and love at Forza Storico,” Co-Owner Pietro Gianni, told What Now Atlanta Tuesday in a prepared statement.
“Over the past few days, we went above and beyond to ensure the safety of our team members and guests. We hired a company to thoroughly sanitize our establishment and every employee returning to work has tested negatively for COVID-19.”
Forza Storico was the fourth Atlanta-area eatery to voluntarily close when an employee fell ill with the novel coronavirus and announce it publicly on its own volition, joining Hattie B’s, Little Rey, and gusto! Chamblee.
All three restaurants have since reopened.
Fritti, a restaurant from Riccardo Ullio, closed its doors in late-April when its manager contracted the virus, the restauranteur alleges, but didn’t come public with the information until late-May in an email to patrons.

I’ve heard that they aren’t following social distancing guidelines and their employees don’t wear masks. I hope that’s just a rumor and they can prove differently! Otherwise, we won’t be visiting
That sounds like it came from a disgruntled employee.
I find it hard to believe.
