Built by the company who aims to be the Top Franchise Company in the World, Genesis BBQ Company, is bb.q Chicken. According to their website, they pride themselves on serving the healthiest premium chicken. That’s just the base, but what really brings in their customer-base in droves is how their chicken is prepared.
Established in Korea in 1995 with over 1,000 stores, bb.q Chicken makes “KFC” or Korean Fried Chicken. Their menus boast loads of fried creations such as Golden Original Chicken, Secret Spicy, Galbi, and even Gangnam Style Wings.
The brand has recently been working on the opening of their first San Diego restaurant on Convoy Street. According to Google, their Convoy stop is set to open September 30th.
Word has spread across many news outlets about the new “KFC” in town and they’re gearing up for a successful following at their Kearny Mesa outpost. Our local Intel suggests they’re ready to expand further with a second stop in the South Bay.
