A revamped bar and restaurant will debut at Vail Headquarters, the historic ranch in the heart of Temecula. The Local Provisions is preparing to join the old-fashioned park property, celebrating community connections and serving local brews.

Temecula-local and Owner Gabriel Maldonado tells What Now San Diego that he always envisioned himself eventually owning a bar. Unexpectedly, the conversation came sooner than he’d thought as restaurant Cheflavor was interested in releasing their spot at Vail.

The Local will take over the Cheflavor location, making some tweaks but keeping with a similar concept. Maldonado’s wife Annita is the owner of The Craft House next door so they’re well-immersed in the “community within a community” as Maldonado describes it.

Nestled in the preserved ranch at what was the Foreman’s House, Maldonado describes the location, “It’s a calm setting, and very family-oriented.” The spot maintains it’s early 1900s charm with original flooring, keeping a rustic feel of the old-fashioned ranch house.

Keeping with the local theme, Maldonado’s vision is to serve local wine and craft beer from the wide assortment of Temecula and San Diego wineries and craft breweries. For provisions, you’ll find salads, sandwiches, burgers, and small bar bites.

The Local Provisions has some minor updates to make to their space and hope to be open before the end of 2021. Be sure to follow them on Instagram for updates and a grand opening date.
