A new culinary gem is poised to grace Downtown Charleston.

Daniela’s Downtown will soon open at 132 Spring St, taking over the space once occupied by 132 Spring Coffee & Kitchen Bar, which closed just last month.

A European-inspired market and deli, Daniela’s is the brainchild of Natasha Cline and her partners at Uncork Charleston, where she currently serves as executive chef. Cline began her culinary career at age 15, inheriting a love of cooking from her parents, who inspired this latest venture.

Daniela’s is named after her German-born mother, who passed away in 2017 after battling an autoimmune disease that affected her hands. Cline’s father, originally from South America, operated a deli in Washington, D.C. Cline treasures fond memories of working at the family-run business and cooking with her mother at home.

Daniela’s will offer a variety of takeaway items, including pre-cooked heat-at-home dishes and freshly prepared salads, pastas, and main courses available in eco-friendly to-go ware, bodega style.

Patrons are welcome to enjoy their meals on-site, either on the patio or in the limited indoor seating area. The market will feature local produce, fresh flowers, a selection of dried goods, and cold cases of grab-and-go items, with vegan and gluten-free options also available.

Daniela’s Downtown is slated to open in late summer or early fall of 2024. The establishment stands as a heartfelt tribute to Cline’s parents and their culinary legacy, blending European flavors with local Charleston charm.
