A couple of months ago, What Now Charleston reported plans for a new Ruby’s Bagels in Nexton. Now, that location has officially been confirmed, and more details are available.

The New York-style bagel shop will open its fifth site this fall in Summerville’s Publix Plaza. The 1,408-square-foot space will be situated at 1288 Nexton Pkwy, Suite 4D, right across the street from the new Harris Teeter.

The forthcoming Nexton eatery will join Ruby’s Bagels’ four existing Lowcountry locations: one in North Charleston, one in West Ashley, and two in Mt Pleasant on Coleman Boulevard and in the Carolina Park development.

Founded in 2022 by Joe Harvey and Kevin Roach, along with their wives Denise and Gail, Ruby’s Bagels has quickly gained a loyal following. Expect the signature New York-style bagels at the new location, as well as a variety of spreads, bagel sandwiches, and coffee beverages.
