Iron Bulldog Sports Bar & Grill, which opened near the Folsom Premium Outlets in 2022, is being sold to local entrepreneur Arunkumar Chandrasekar. According to an announcement shared by Iron Bulldog’s owner Joe Joaquin on the bar’s Facebook page, Iron Bulldog will continue to operate as usual through January and potentially longer, until the selling is complete.

“I have accepted an offer for the sale of The Iron Bulldog Sports Bar. I am currently in Escrow and in a 45 day close. As we know, things can come up and change in a moments notice. The ABC ‘Public Notice’ of an application change has been posted and word will get out. So it’s important you hear it from me. It will continue to be business as usual for the month of January and possibly a bit longer. More to come on timing and details in the next few weeks,” Joaquin said in the announcement.

Chandrasekar, the incoming operator, already has plans for the space. Honoring his heritage, Chandrasekar will convert Iron Bulldog into Silk Bar, an Indian restaurant and bar concept that will put more focus on the food program instead of operating as a sports bar.

What Now Sacramento connected with Chandrasekar, but the incoming operator is currently traveling abroad and hadn’t replied to our email inquiry by the time of this coverage.
