Supermarket to undergo interior renovations at Lenox Marketplace
Lenox Marketplace’s Publix Supermarket is slated for renovations, according to a permit filed with the City of Atlanta Tuesday.
The supermarket at 3535 Peachtree Road will receive interior renovations to finishes, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing and communication systems, according to the permit.
Publix will remain open during the renovation process, according to company spokeswoman Brenda Reid, who told What Now Atlanta over the phone Wednesday these types of renovations are very “typical” for the supermarket.
“No part of the store will go dark,” Reid said. “We renovate our stores on an ongoing basis, usually every five years.”
Publix Manager, Jemetric Walker told What Now Atlanta renovations to the supermarket was “interesting news,” during a visit to the location Tuesday.
“I’m not aware of any renovations,” Walker said.
