On August 28, 2024, Hilton Head‘s SERG Restaurant Group took to Facebook to announce the relocation of two of its 15 concepts.
After 17 years at its current location in Reilley’s Plaza, One Hot Mama’s BBQ will move to 35-A Office Park Rd, a site that is currently home to Nectar Farm Kitchen, another concept from the group.
Currently, One Hot Mama’s and Nectar have four locations between the two of them—one each on Hilton Head and one each in Bluffton. While Nectar has thrived over the past four years, SERG believes the new location will better suit the award-winning barbecue haven.
Celebrity chef Orchid Paulmeier is a founding partner at both One Hot Mama’s and Nectar. In the Facebook announcement, she expressed her excitement about the relocation.
“We have two fantastic restaurant concepts, and I am proud to be part of both,” she said. “This move provides a fresh start for One Hot Mama’s, while Nectar will continue to thrive in its Old Town Bluffton location.”
The Nectar partners are actively searching for a new, smaller space for Nectar on Hilton Head that will cater to both locals and visitors alike. “The intimacy and local access of the Nectar Old Town Bluffton location have been well received, and we hope to find a similarly suited location on Hilton Head soon,” said Alan Wolf, President of SERG.
Nectar Hilton Head will close on October 1, 2024 to begin renovations for One Hot Mama’s, which is expected to reopen at its new location in December. Meanwhile, other exciting projects are underway for several SERG Restaurant Group concepts, including changes to Marley’s Shrimp and Burger Shack, as well as a new full-service restaurant and brewery.
